First congrats!! I might be a little late, but the first thing you should do is sit down with a loan officer to see if you are mortgage eligible. It doesn't sound like you have the two year minimum work history but I think I heard my preferred loan officer sah that a variance would be considered if your current line of work is in the field in which you studied.

Contact me to set up an mls search for you. You will a link to data sheets of properties that fit the profile we create for you. You can drive by the listings to see if you like what you see. Then we can set up showings so you can view the inside of the homes you are interested in. If you already have a relationship with a loan officer contact them for a pre-approval letter. If you don't have a relationship with a loan officer I can refer you to someone who will have a loan product that meets your needs. Text or phone 715-556-4511.

Jae, congrats on both graduating from a great university and getting a job in a great area. If you are still looking for some direction or advice on the homebuying process, call or email me and I would be glad to help answer any questions you may have. I have closed several homes within the last few minths that buyers are getting mortgaged at less than 4% and very little down. There are a couple other things I can help you with if you are short on cash funds or employed for less than 1 year. Let me know if I can help out. Have a great fall!

Hi Jae,

Congratulations on your decision! Owning a home can be cheaper than renting these days. I wrote an article below that goes over a few tips on buying your first home. I've also included some other articles that may assist. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.

Thank you for a wise decision!!! Your first step should be to get pre-approval from a lender. Local Realtors will have worked with some that they can recommend. The local Realtor is also the one to work with to find the property you want. This may sound like somewhat of a circle, but a local loan officer can probably recommend a good Realtor. If you ask around among friends, neighbors, shop keepers, etc., you should come up with a few names to call.
Good Luck!
