HUD Offers grants for housing conversion for voucher holders. I am disabled on social security. Under the conversion program they will come up with the money and the balance I must qualify for which has been dificult to find a lender but I have one. Is there any way I can talk to those banks that own the property. in hope that they have something they particularly want to get rid of.

If you qualify as a first-time home buyer (not owning a home within the last three years) you may have access to funds through the Washington State Housing Finance Commission and they offer numerous down payment assistance programs that you may qualify for one of which is for someone who is disabled. The funds are available through lenders that have gone through training by WSHFC (a non-profit organization established by WA State Legislature about 25 years ago to help increase home ownership for everyone in WA State). Those people who qualify (and there are income caps) must attend a New-Home Owner Education class which is taught by both a Realtor and Lender who have been trained by the WSHFC and can then "certify" the buyer. Feel free to call me if you want more information -- I am sure I can find a class for you in your area. I am an educator for them, but the classes I teach are from Renton and Seattle north to Marysville. I can for sure refer you to a lender who has access to these funds -- Good Luck!!!

Banks do not deal with the public regarding home sales. Our recommendation is to contact a local real estate professional to assist you with this process.

Banks list homes via listing agents. Lenders do not have man power to handle calls from general public hire professional realtors other vendors work on their behalf.

Contact a local realtor here on Trulia as a buyers agent who can represent you locating a home, submitting offers, additional particulars thru closing
