Hi Sharron. I am a Canadian living in Arizona for the past 3 years. You should really consider financing in Canada as the credit rating system between Canada and the US is not seemless. Hence, the finance rates are higher and most require a minimum 30% down. HSCB has a great international banking system as well as Bank of Montreal for having a US dollar account in Canada. When I purchased my home here in Scottsdale the experience made me feel like a teenager again without a credit card! Best of luck, Diane

Sharron

Check with a Canadian Bank and try to arrange finacing from Canada. Most lenders in the US working with Foriegn Nationals are require 30% and six months worth of reserves for PITI.

Dear Sharon,
You might want to check out Royal Bank of Canada. They have a loan program for buying in the US. The amount of down paiment has been changing a lot lately and not sure if they are still under 30%. Please let me know If you need help buying property down here.
