I am a Canadian Citizen and resident of Bermuda. My brother and I who lives in New York are

considering
buying a place either in the Hilton Head area or Charleston. If we purchase a place for $400,000; are their places that will finance to a non resident for say $100,000 of the purchase price? We will put down 75% total. Any insight. Now if we could just decide on where to focus our search. Thanks,

Hi Derek. You would be able to find a truly beautiful home for under 300K here in the Smith Mountain Lake VA. area and you would be mortgage free! We are only 60 miles from the NC border, have 4 seasons but mild winters, low taxes, friendly locals and of course a "huge" lake! By the way, I'm originally from NY and we are only about 8-9 hours drive away and the same goes to get to Florida from here! You bet there are. Hilton Head and Charleston are both great places to be. We enjoy visiting Charleston for long weekends, but prefer to live on Hilton Head. Visit my web site to get a better feel of the Island we call Paradise.
