That sounds bad- sorry to hear about your bad experience =( The only things I know about Condo associations and locating the members of the board of directors and mailing addresses is to run a search here http://sunbiz.org/ If you know the condo associations name, you can look it up by Inquire by Name and see a mailing address... I do this sometimes when I can't find the docs! If it's a legit HOA or Condo Association, they should be registered here on http://www.sunbiz.org !

Hope that helps some...

HOA's are going bankrupt too and many lenders shy away from shakey associations that have a high vacancy rate, delinquent HOA fees from foreclosed units, or high non owner occupied-too many rentals as a proportion. There is a lot of risk associated with condos with "bad" associations. HUD has a list of approved condo associations and if it is not on that list, underwriting is really tough!

You or your Realtor can contact me via the website below; depending on which building it is (like 3095 Ohio) I might be able to help you (seriously). I work with foreclosure properties, and this is a frequent problem. You also need the name/number for the title company.

I'm a little confused by your story. If there is a condo assocation, then there are condo docs. If you signed a purchase contract, if it is a FAR-9 contract, your Realtor or attorney should have shown you a page that requires you get a copy of the condo docs, otherwise your deposit gets returned and you are out of the deal.
