Home Buying in Martinsville>Question Details

Justlikeyou, Other/Just Looking in Martinsville, VA

How young can you be to own your own home? Example: 22 years of age. Are there any restrictions? What kind of process would I have to go through?

18 years of age or older so you are good to go there.
2 years of verified income
12 months verified rent
established credit history-3 lines of credit opened at least 12 months, no late pays
620 middle credit score for FHA, 3.5% down minimum
680 credit score for Conventional, 5% down minimum

That is just some basic information and there is quite a bit more that you need to know.

You can be any age at all, if you pay cash it would not matter. If you are going for a loan then the lender might have a min age.

Agian, you have to be of legal age and the first thing you should do is talk to a lender to see what you'll be comfortable with as far as payments go.
