Tom, the NJ Department of Education rates schools by what they call "District Factor Groups" or DFGs. They give a letter grade to each town's schools from A (lowest) to J (highest), and you can find the complete list (by county) here: http://www.state.nj.us/education/finance/sf/dfg90.shtml

The Ocean Township schools are rated "G/H", which is the 2nd highest rating given in Monmouth County. As you'll see on the state's web site, Monmouth County has several "I" districts, but no "J" districts. You should be very happy with Ocean's schools if that's where you decide to move. I don't know what price range you're considering, but I personally like the Oakhurst area. Text me or email me if you;d like some more specific suggestions.

Why entertain what other people think or say, another's opinion may not be anywhere near the best thing for you nor your child. For school information see links, also consider visiting schools and areas of interest, and see all firsthand....
