How will canceling my lease to purchase a home affect my credit?

I am trying to build my credit and I signed a lease to an apartment which I believe will help build it. However, I want to own a home. I know that I can not wait to purchase a home until my lease is over because there is no guarantee that the house will be available or that everything will be complete when I am expected to leave the apartment. I do not want to wait until the last minute to purchase a home. However, I am not completely comfortable canceling my lease if I am able to purchase one.

If that is the case, it will probably not affect your credit.

Hi Denise,
I just saw your question and it is a great idea to read your lease carefully, some of them allow you to break your lease with a 60 days notice. However it depends on the way your contract is worded.
