Just curious if Trulia can tell you if a home is pending or if it is in active/backup status. I don't know how many times I come across a home that looks available, only to call my agent and it is pending or in active backup status. I wish I could just know without wasting my time. Thanks.
Our local MLS, IRES has a public website, http://www.ColoProperty.com
you should be able to see active backup status reported as 'Taking Backup Offers'
This is a new feature, check it out!
The MLS system that you (or your agent) is using should have the most accurate/updated status, BUT sometimes that is not even correct, unfortunately...and placing a call to the listing agent is necessary. Best, Tommy

Backup status, in most MLS systems, is considered an active status, so Trulia does not need to distinguish a difference.
As a buyer back status is a very good place to be. That means they are still looking at offers and with the financing and appraisal issues we are having right now I think if I were the Listing Agent I would welcome offers.
From my understanding if it reaches Pending status it is taken off most websites. Active Backup only your realtor would be able to have this information via the MLS. Best of Luck!
Ken-
The public info is limited but your Realtor has that info at their fingertips and can schedule a showing for you as well!
