Hi Xiaozhu,

There is no substitute for developing the right relationships. So, a well planned trip to the US would be a great idea. If you like, so that I may be able to assist you in making the most of your trip, please call or write with any questions that you might have.

My team and I have sold over 750 properties to international investors. So, I think that I may be able to point you in the right direction. However, in the event that we don't speak, I have attached a recent blog post that may prove helpful. It was written for prospective international investors who would like to purchase some of the great investment homes that we have in Detroit.

Visiting the US is key to making the right decisions. Being prepared to spend some time to interview potential agents, vendors and contractors will save a lot of frustration and help define good expectations. We have developed a good trustworthy network of international investors and clients over the past 7 years. We would hope that if you choose to invest in the USA that you give us an opportunity to earn your business. I can recommend a few resources as a good starting point if you like.

Buying homes in the USA is a great investment. Detroit is one of the best markets in the country for purchasing homes. I would defiantly recommend a visit so that you can check out what you are buying. There are many great areas in the city.

Even if you are not able to come here. We have helped many buyers from overseas to purchase homes in Detroit that bring positive cash flow each an every month. I would be more than happy to answer any questions that you have about this.

Best Regards,

Guy Gailliard

Buying a home "sight unseen" is likely not a good idea(eventhough I once did it and it worked out). So it's probably best to visit the US for the purpose of selecting the location and property possibilities. Having reliable friends of acquaintances that are located in the area you are interested in can be a great help as well. The actual transaction is something that can take place "long distance."

With today's technology absentee closings are very common and easily accomplished as long as it is planned for in advance. We just completed one for buyers from Sweeden and everything went smoothly.

Good luck,
