How much over-bidding is going on at the moment?

I would not not say over bidding. However, there are multiple offers of most REO properties and good looking short sales. This seems to be the trend the past 3-4 months. I closed one early this month and my investor got the property but he had to compete against 9 other offers (total of 10 offers)! I also have a listing off Southside Blvd and that was a multiple offer situation on a short sale. Those are just a few examples, I could go on and on. The inventory is low. Buyers are feed up with not getting the properties they are putting offers on and are tired of waiting for the bank to release the inventory. Our office is seeing a trend toward new construction.
