I noticed this post, although it's dated...this property flew out the door...within 7 days. The county and city of Fairfax has spent millions of dollars cleaning and clearing the creeks over the past couple of years. Along with neighborhoods working together to keep them clean and free of litter for there are fish in these creeks. Where you the lucky buyer?

Very little of Fairfax is in a flood hazard zone. There are some streets along Deer Park Creek and Fairfax Creek. When you look a specific properties in these areas, confirm the flood zone on the FEMA maps. Note that the FEMA maps and flood designations may change in the next year--an update is in progress.
