How much are the property taxes in Pawleys Island? Say a house between 250,000 and 300,000?

It depends on your age and how long you've lived here. It also depends on whether or not you are a permanent resident. An investor or a second property owner pays the most. Georgetown County respects their elders. They have a reduced tax for anyone over 65 and a further reduction if you've lived here more than 1 calendar year.
The rules have changed so much lately that I would suggest that you call call/or write the Tax Assessor's office for Georgetown County, P.O. Box 421270 · 129 Screven Street, Georgetown, South Carolina 29442-1270 · Phone: 843-545-3063 · Fax: 843-545-3292.
