How many days do you have to respond to the bank's counter offer on a short sale in the state of Nevada?

Owners accepted my offer. I waited 3 months to receive a counter offer from the bank. I received it on Thursday at 3pm. When I called the realtor on Saturday I was told the offered ended on Friday at the end of the day. My realtor warned me the offer would expire on Friday by email but I did not get the message. Is it legal for banks to expire their offer after only 1 day?
