In short, 24 hours for syndicated data (straight from the MLS) and immediately for manually entered listings. Agents can post listings themselves which often results in duplicate listings.

Your most accurate source of listing data is Realtor.com or MLS Listings which is the local listing service for Silicon Valley.

All of the public sites usually pic up MLS listings within the first 24-48 hours. Agents can put listings in individually also and there are flyer companies that get great SEO also.
Good Luck

Trulia allows for the input of listings on demand. They usually show up within 24 hours. Internet Data Exchange can be up to 48 hours. The public version of the MLS will show new listings within about 15 min. of input by listing agents. You can check at http://www.mlslistings.com
