How kid friendly is the subdivision Pelican Ridge in North Naples?

Asked by CNoblett, Naples, FL Tue Jul 9, 2013

We're looking into purchasing a town home in Pelican Ridge, but not familiar with the neighborhood. Is it kid friendly? Are there young families that live there? Thanks!

Can't say specifically because of remarks may be taken as discrimination by the Fair Housing Commission or some other gov't agency.

Hi CNoblett

The school district is sought after ( Seagate Elemenary/ Pine Ridge Middle/ Barron Collier High).

The Rules have a section on "Children". For example, they don't want climbing on walls, fences or trees or cutting through hedges or plantings on foot or bike. Under age 12, they must be supervised by an adult at the pool. Hockey, baseball, basketball or other sports activities on or within the concrete courtyard areas of Pelican Ridge or on Meadowland Dr isn't allowed. And walkways, driveways and courtyard areas can not be used for storage of bikets, floats, etc.

There's a low Homeowner Association fee and it has two heated community pools. And 2 Pets are allowed – 25lbs.

Feel free to email or call me if I can be of help to you on a purchase here or to help you find another suited to your needs and desires.

I lived in Pelican Ridge for over 13 years now. The community is a nice mix between seasonal and year round residents. The smaller units are 2 bedrooms and the larger end units are either 2 bedroom plus a loft or 3 bedrooms. All units come with a 1 car garage. Given the seize of the units, you won't find a lot of young families in this community.
Contact me if you like more information.

Pelican Ridge is a nice neighborhood. There are some kids there but, I would say the majority of residence are not children. You may want to look at Milano just off Livingston Road. Those are newer and very nicely laid out. I also know that it is very kid friendly and schools are close. This depends on your budget and the needs of your family. The lowest one in there for 169,900. Would that work for you.
I realize this a very important decision and I want to help you make the right choice for your family.
If you would like to see this listing, or want more information, you my contact me at the number below.
