HOA fees can be listed in different ways. If you're looking at a townhome, HOA fees are probably going to be in the $100 - $200 per month range. It can vary and it is best to ask your Realtor what they are.
As for the property taxes, we can't see exactly what you're looking at so it is difficult to say if the taxes are correct or not. However, they are a matter of public record and can be looked up on each property. http://services.wakegov.com/realestate/. Your Realtor can also help you determine what they are. Taxes are based on whether you're in the city limits or not and which city you're in.
It seems to me property taxes and insurance (homeowners & auto) are generally lower in NC than in FL.
HOA fees are typically monthly although some are annual oeven quarterly depending upon the community. Most of the time this is posted alongside the dollar amount but if you are not sure, you can always send me the address of the property you are looking at and if listed on the MLS, I can research that for you.
Property taxes SHOULD be accurate on Trulia however if you wish to verify, the actual property tax bills ARE available for public view for every property in Wake County by going to: http://services.wakegov.com/realestate/ Most of the other counties also have their own sites, but I really haven't found a site as friendly as Wake County.
