How is it to buy in Cabazon CA? Indian reservation...

Cabazon is all Indian reservation and I've seen the wording 'land lease'. If it is around the typical cost one pays for property tax I am fine with that. Just would not be comfortable with an amount that was extra high or subject to unexpected changes! Please advise... thanks!

Hi Mike, I am not sure where you got your info, but I sell in Cabazon and Whitewater as my primary areas, so I know them. Cabazon is not all Indian land, in fact S. of the freeway is pretty much fee land (not leased). The Reservation is like a checkerboard....one mile Indian, one mile not....leased land has a yearly lease either fixed or possibly graduating......it is hard to be specific as each property might have a different lease amount (as in Palm Springs)

Hi Mike,

I actually grew up on a dairy farm in San Jacinto...but to answer your question, when it's leased land you have to pay a yearly lease fee. The most difficult thing is that when it comes time to re-sell the property most people seem to be avoiding leased land.

I'd be happy to help you in your search. You can call me or visit my web site and contact me that way.
