How does the House value effect when it is very near to commercial area and near to a main road??

Asked by nagshastri, Allen, TX Mon Mar 11, 2013

We saw a house in a community on peachtree pkwy, since it is very near to main road and commercial area does it effect the resale value because we want to sell the house in 4 to 5 years??

Help the community by answering this question:

It totally affects the value. If you want to keep it for residential use, it's a negative. If you are buying it, thinking that the value is for commercial use, beware, because the commercial market is very complicated and there is a glut in that market with values way down.

If I can be of further help, please let me know.

Usually not well, but every situation is unique. If you have a particular property in mind give me a call and I would be happy to prepare a comparative market analysis for you to see what things look like.

Anything that can be perceived in a negative light may well affect value and eventual resale, nagshastri. This includes but is not limited to view, power lines, detention ponds, and a myriad of others. Please call, text or email if we can provide further assistance. Good Luck!
