I know that the courts record homes when they sell. Where are those records made available?

Donna is right, the What Is Your Home Worth? section on Realtor.com is a good place to check.

The records are available in the county courthouse or oftentimes in the records online at the county's website. A faster way for the average consumer to look at recent sales in an area is to visit Realtor.com and type in a street address in the box titled "What is Your Home Worth?". It pulls the recent sales in the area and includes the settlement date so you know how accurate the information is compared to todays market.

Brian is correct most title companies have this information. Another option is to contact a local REALTOR® .. most would be happy to help you find the information you want and would not charge any fees..

Many title companies offer a service for professionals. First American or Fidelity are the most popular.
