There was newspaper coverage concerning this project. For the facts, I would do a Google Search or talk to the people in the neighborhood for the "real scoop".
I like Christopher's answer and would take it one step further. I would hang around the property and talk to some people that have moved in (if that has happened yet). People love to tell you the good/bad about their experiences with the property. I am a buyer agent but I send my clients to the area alone since people open up more when an agent is not around. The other answers below are good also. I had some experience with the sales team that left a bad taste in my mouth- it was like being on a used car lot.
Good luck!
Ask the listing agent for past developments of the developer. If there is a past development, I would personally attempt to contact current residents. Ask about the building reserves to see if everything has ran smoothly with assessments since they have lived there.
Are they only allowing a certain percent of investors in the building? any at all? I highly suggest any buyers to obtain this info.
as the sales team for references of buyers from previous developments or units in that building...
i too have done deals with this developer without incident, but there was a significant setback at this property last year. contact me off list if you wish to know more.
Check the BBB and ask a Realtor. I have done deals with the developer on previous projects on Mildred and Larrabbee both good experiences.
