I would suggest contacting a buyers agent. They represent you, and the great thing is they are most typically compensated by the seller on the transaction. I have many realtor i work with that i could recommend. I would not use a realtor that charges you to use their services, just my two cents.

Jessica-

My websites: 101bell.com and teambelt.com both have the ability to do your own searching and include pool as a criteria. As well, searchomes.com (the Realty Executives of Phoenix website) also has the same functionality.

An agent can also set up a search for you, and have the results of new listings in the area you are interested in emailed to you every day. However, for your random, "I wonder what's on the market in Phoenix?" query, my website works quite well.

Jessica,
The simplest approach is to have an automatic query setup to send you email notification each time a new listing that meets your criteria is entered into the MLS.

Either a search can be set up for you, or you can go directly to my website listed below and do your own search and put that criteria in. It is really easy. If you want home sent to you automatically that meets your criteria then it can be done for you and you will be automatically notified when a home that meets your needs comes on the market with your specific price range.

You need to find a REALTOR who has the ability to set up a search portal on their MLS to allow you to do a more detailed search, save the search to be notified of new listings as they come on the market. The DeKalb, IL system does allow for that, the greater Chicago area system only allows a member to enter search parameters and results are e-mailed to the client.

Jessica - It depends on what system you are using to search with. Most search systems available to the public don't have enough detailed capability to search only for homes with a private pool. If you have an agent, they can set you up on what our MLS calls a "Client Gateway" that DOES have the capability to search for only private pools. (as well as dozens of other search criteria). A Client Gateway is basically your own web page, with listings meeting your own search criteria, that automatically updates when new listings come on the market that meet your criteria. You can also "save" listings, take notes, etc. It's a very powerful tool for your home search. If you don't have an agent, I'd be happy to set up a gateway for you, just contact me through my website listed below. No cost, no obligation, and I won't hassle you to represent you (but will be happy to if/when you are ready).
