Amy Sherman, Home Buyer in Brooklyn, NY

How do I make an offer on a "for sale by owner" home?

Asked by Amy Sherman, Brooklyn, NY Thu Jan 24, 2013

I have already received pre-qualification, and am ready to buy, but need the specifics for buying from an owner, not an agent.

Dear Amy:

You can do it either verbally or in writing.

If you want to get the "specifics" from the owner,
then you should go talk to the Owner, not us.

Also, without an agent you have to have an attorney involved that will have your best interest in mind!

Never go in and make an offer on a fsbo without an agent. There are to many unknowns and that is what an agent is for. Price, disclosures, repairs, inspections and much more.

Although you as a buyer can deal directly with OWNER it is good idea to consult a Real Estate lawyer ahead of times so things can go smoothly throw the process. If you need more information please call the expert real estate broker, or http://www.jigrealty.com
