How do I get a list of open houses in San Ramon?

I would like to do a little scouting in the San Ramon (94563) this weekend to see if it would be a good place for us. How do I get my hands on an open house list for the area for this weekend 1/11 and or 1/12/08. I don't want to waste an agent's time until we are more sure, but would like to see what homes look like in our spending bracket ( dated bathrooms/kitchens etc.)

Get pre-approved as soon as you can if you haven't done so.That tells agents you're not wasting anytime :-)

Good Hunting

You are more than welcome to "wate my time." :)

It's a bit late now but let me know the dates you are interested in and I will pull the open houses for you.

Good luck - it's a great time to buy!

Unforunately there is not website that provides all open house. Here is a list of several different sites for you. Chronicle: http://www.sfgate.com/homes; Home Buyers Tour: http://www.homebuyerstour.com; Paragon MLS Website: http://homesopentoday.com

I publish these weekly on my website for one viewing. If you are working with an agent they can provide you this information at no obligation so you can view it on your computer. Also you can view this information at the online version of the local newspapers, Contra Costa Times and The Valley Herald.

Hi JB - I guess I hear your question a little differently than others. Their answers are correct in terms of open houses, but what I hear first and foremost is that you don't want to waste your time or anyone else's.

That's why we recommend SearchSaver to our buyers. It puts you in control of the property search. It saves you time and money - and gets you there first when new property hits the market.

Why waste time going over the same listings day after day on Craigslist, Trulia and the others?

Visit the link below for more info.

It is a great question and a very common problem. Most MLS Data Feeds do not have an OPEN HOUSE check box or field. We need one. One of the great things coming this year ishttp:// www.Openhouse.com and orhttp:// www.OpenHome.com.

This will allow agents to put all their Open up and of coursw their will be maps and data and all of that! Great question and while this may not help it magnifys the problem we all have!

How about Craigs List! Full of Open houses!!

Best wishes to you...

Thank you! This group is such an excellent resource! I know I'll be back with more questions especially if San Ramon goes well - we want to be settled by the new school year at the latest and sooner is better!

Unfortunately, there isn't currently a single source that contains all of the open home information. However, if you take some time and combine a couple different resources, you should be able to generate a fairly comprehensive list. I would recommend that you check Craigslist, HOT (homesopentoday.com as Johnny mentioned), the Contra Costa times and Trulia.

In addition, when you find a neighborhood that you like, be sure to drive around and look for open house signs for properties that you didn't see advertised online.

www.homesopentoday.com is the Realtor Open Home website and
http://www.classifiedconcepts.com/CCDL3/AppOH/Default.aspx?c… is where you can get the Open House Listings from the Contra Costa Times before the Sunday supplement comes out.

Hope that helps out and good luck.

The most complete list is found in the Sunday Real Estate Supplement of the Contra Costa Times.
