For Pete -- I try to help anyone who is asking a general question in the Florida area (where I'm licensed). Good/accurate general information is useful, even if it comes from an "out of the area" agent. Inaccurate or useless information is still useless, regardless of how local the agent is to the questioner.
Have a super week.

Dear Psenk,
Theere is a way i can find ut for you. I am surprised the other two professional agents dis not tell you they could. But they are out of area and they shouldn't really be answering anyway. I live here in your county and there is a site i can plug in the address and find out owner and last recorded mortgage and from who the mortgage is from. But I will tell you this, unless you have someone you know like a relative that works at the national office of the motgage lendr yu will not ind out nayhting. You see you need account numbers and they are not published.
So call me with the address and I will fin out who holds the last recorded mortgage for you. I fthe property has a sign on it and it is in the multiple listing service, I will be glad o get all the informati0n I can find for you and get you in to see it.
Anyway give me a call at 321-480-2544 and I will get the information fo you.
Hi Psenk -- I'm curious. Why do you want to know? If you are planning on contacting the bank directly, you should know that you have very little chance of success in getting any information, let alone be able to make an offer on the property. If a property is listed for sale (either by owner or through the MLS) and you want to know the lender because you feel some banks are easier to work with than others, just ask the listing agent.
It's difficult to find the property record in public records that tells you about the mortgage--and there may be more than one mortgage or home equity loan on a property, making it even harder to get a clear picture of what is owed.
Good luck and Happy House Hunting!

Hi Psenk,
You can go to the County public record search and search by the property address. There you will find who holds the mortgage and for what amount which is very important in the short sale process. Good Luck
