How do I find out the purchase price of a house that was sold in Travis County early last year?

To protect tax payers and provide privacy, Texas is a "non-Disclosure" state. The only place this data is kept is at the Austin Board of Realtors. A licensed realtor can look up this information for the purpose of pricing other homes in the neighborhood. I could probably help you. Looking to sell your house? Looking to Buy? Wanna know how much your neighbor paid for their house?

Actually, Realty Austin now provides access to sold data through what's called a Virtual Office Website. Visit the link below, create a user profile, and then validate your email (this is required by the MLS to get access to sold data). You can see the entire history of any given property, as far back as 10 years, including previous listings, old photos, etc.

Hope this is helpful!

Texas is a non-disclosure state so you won't be able to find it on your own. The best way to go about it is to contact you local agent.

Contacting a realtor is your best bet. Looking at the tax records will not give you the actual sales price of a home because Texas is an non disclosure state.

Contact a Realtor or go to the Public Records for your county.
