How do I find out if the home I am interested in is listed as a historic home in ybor city?

There are several resources that may give you additional information. The listing of historic buildings is compiled by the National Register is published on Wikipedia:

The city has published a Ybor City District Map which include the boundaries for the historic area:

The city also has Landmark structures, with contact information regarding them: from their website;

Below is just a sampling of the City of Tampa Local Landmarks. At present, the City of Tampa has 47 Local Landmark designations. Designation reports may be viewed in our office at 306 E. Jackson Street, 3N at the Tampa Municipal Office Building. If you have any inquiries regarding the Local Landmarks, please call (813)274-8920.

Contact the planning and zoning department in the city building.

You can contact the local town hall offices for that information. They will also tell you what you can and cannot do to a historic home.
