How do I ask a Broker to stop using our pictures? This agent listed a house using photos our office has taken, including the watermark.

Asked by Advantage Realty Forest Hills, 11375 Sun Apr 28, 2013

This is not the first time this office has taken our photos and posted it as their own. How do we go about making them stop using our photos? We already have watermarked our photos and digitally marked our photos. They will use our photos without consent.

Ask in writing and then contact their licensing board. and file a complaint. It is illegal and if you let them know you are going to file a complaint they will probably stop.

Dear Advantage Realty , It is a violation of MLS Rule 501.14, not to mention down right unethical. Brokers and Agents should use common sense, and they know they are doing something wrong, but it's just too convenient. I have sent friendly reminders to many brokers and gave them 24 hours to remove them before I file a complaint. Yet another broker used my images today on his MLS listing... I would say remind this agent of this rule and give her 24 hours to remove the pictures, other wise file a complaint.

Olga updated the listing on 4/30/2013 again using our office's pictures right after zillow and trulia removed her listing right before. So this is purposeful violation.

Call their office and tell them to stop. The Broker may not be aware that his agents are using these pictures.

Why don't you try a complaint via MLS? They love sending out fines. In my opinion, your company should have attorneys to deal with this.
