I check new listings on the Multiple Listing Service daily and preview homes as needed. I have the benefit of being able to ask agents in my office (there are 29!) for information about new listings coming on the market. I'll help you put together your best offer, present it to the seller and negotiate for you. I'll help you find financing, have an inspection done, work with the title company and proceed with you to closing!
It is actually the SELLER that pays our commission even when we represent the buyer in the transaction. A good realtor is with you every step of the way from locating a property, researching and negotiating the best price, presenting an offer, arranging for inspections, helping to arrange financing and the list goes on.........We have the resources available to help you if something goes wrong. It's all well and good to go it alone as long as things go smoothly, it's when there is a problem that you will be glad you have a realtor on your side.
The truth is that all of the things that realtors say they can do for you can be done without their help. I know from person experience as I've bought two houses and sold them without the help of a realtor. I'm figuring I saved at least $35,000 by cutting out the middleman.
Let's face it, the BUYERS are paying for the realtors fancy houses, cars and country club memberships.
