Sharon,

You will need to get current with your student loans or get a written payment agreement. and a GOOD letter of explaination as to why you went into default combined with 1 or 2 months of on time payment history on your credit report shoulg over come the issue. BUT the greater problem is what are your FICO scores right now. if the mid score of the three credit agencies is less that at least 600 then we need to see about getting those up. Call and we'll talk.

Hi Sharon,

If you are in default on your Student Loans, the only way I know that COULD possibly allow you to get a mortgage is to pay off your student loans or get them current for 6-12 months.

Can you be more specific about the issue you are facing? Would love to help, but I am not clear about your need.
