Hi Linda,
Well, I'd hope no one actually shows up on this site, but there's actually a site: http://www.rottenneighbor.com where people post complaints in their neighborhood. You might want to just make sure your potential next door neighbor is not on there :)
I would do a search for the subdivision name, followed by HOA or Homeowner's Association. Many times you'll find a website for the neighborhood by the HOA. You might find interesting information on that site that teaches you more about the neighborhood and the people who live there.
If you are not local and can not drive the area, you can use Google Street View to see a little more of the neighborhood. Otherwise, spending time in the neighborhood would be best. Get your exercise in and go for a walk at the end of a work day before dark or on the weekend. And then just actually talk to neighbors as you see them. Drive through at varying times of the day and days, in general.
If you just want to know who they are by name, that is all stored in the tax records, which is public information. A few homes are in Davidson County, but you'll more than likely be looking at the Wilson County Register of Deeds....hope that all helps!
