How about the HOPPER RIDGE Townhouses in Ridgewood? I saw there are a few listings over there.

I am thinking moving to Ridgewood. I have two girls. My husband and I are not handy. Both girls are not sporty. So I think we can accept some limitations of townhouses, such as lack of yard. But those townhouse have very high tax (over $13000 a year) and high monthly fee (over $400 a month). Just want to know what kind of pros and cons of those townhouses. Are they good choices for living in Ridgewood? I like the location though.

And is there any good private schools in bergen area (better than Ridgewood schools?)

Thanks.

Windandsea, have you considered ALLENDALE BROOK ESTATES or SADDLE DALE PARK townhouses in Allendale? Allendale has top rated schools and a center of town which seems to appeal to you in Ridgewood.

There are very few townhouses in Ridgewood and it is unlikely there will be many more. One of our agents lived in one and as far as I know they are fine. Taxes ain Ridgewood are high and you are paying for the amenities and a first class school system.
In general many people are willing to pay the taxes for the chance to live in the town which is generally considerd to be one of the best towns in the state.
