Houses in Fort Mill, SC area NOT in a subdivision?

Leigh
Home Buyer
Charlotte, NC

We are interested in purchasing a house in the greater Fort Mill, SC area (anywhere close to Charlotte but south of the border) and we want a "country" house where we can raise chickens. (4-8 pet chickens, not a farm.) It seems that every house we find listed are in a subdivision. Since subdivision houses tend to be on top of each other and likely don't allow chickens, I wish we could search specifically for homes *not* in a subdivision. Are there such homes in this area, and can someone help us find them? (I spoke to two Realtors and they said they'd email me some listings, but this was 3 weeks ago and I've heard nothing! It makes me think there are no houses like this in the area!)

In Baxter Village.
Because of a divorce, I need to sell my house in Baxte Village this week and will take about any reasonable offer.

It appraised at 413,000 in Jan 2009. I would accept 350,000 if could close by Oct 1, so if you know any investors that would like a flip or anyone looking this is way under value and best deal in Baxter Village

You can see it here http://www.110mills.com

If is 3400 sq ft 4 bed with office and bonus room with movie theater with stadium seating, also on .35 wooded lot, HUGE for Baxter

The great thing about our area is we still have areas of York County that would be considered rural for those used to living in a city. We have a number of very nice areas with homes not in the traditional subdivisions that you have described. I am sorry you have had a bad experience with feedback from the other agents however if you would like help in your search our team would be glad to help

There are no mls search fields that specifically allow you to search in that manner. You may try lot sizes over a certain size (say .5 acres) and your price range to get you in the right ball park. I am not sure why the agents you spoke to have not sent you suggestions, but one of our buyer agents would be more than happy to help and would be happy to send you York county listings that meet your need. You may also want to broaden your search to include Rock Hill.

Please let me know if we can help.

Get on your computer and google Fort Mill, SC MLS. You should get some sites that let you search the MLS for free. Under no circumstances should you call the two agents who never followed up with you. They are worthless. Find what you are looking for in MLS and call the listing agent. Chances are if the listing agent has one house like you want they will know of others. Good luck.
