House in Burbank or condo in Cupertino area. Which will resale better?
I'm looking at buying and living in the Burbank area. How's the neighborhood? Is it safe? Good resale within 5 to 6
years? What's a good price for 3 bedroom 1 bath 1000sf with a 5000ish sf lot? or is buying a condo in an already good area better? I'm looking at appreciation and safety.

Personally, and this is just my opinion, if you have business in the Bay area that would be your better investment. That area has held up strong in resale value and the paper today states that home sales are up 30% from last month believing that maybe they are close to the bottom of the decline in pricing. If you were to buy now, Cupertino will carry a better resale value than Burbank by location alone. Remember, my opinion only! Good luck.

Location, Location, Location....is the Most important factor in your purchase. It also depends on what the purpose of your home purchase is?? Do you want it as your personal residence or as an investment property? What other criterias do you need in your home? eg schools....etc....For appreciation, and safety, Cupertino is definately better! Let me know if I can help you further, call me, 408-777-3823, Nina Daruwalla with Coldwell Banker in Cupertino.

If the home is simply being bought as an investment, Cupertino has been a solid performer. The Burbank area is transitioning well with many new developments and of course Santana Row. However, the schools don't stand up to Cupertino schools. If you would like some comparisons for specific streets/ neighborhoods, contact me. No obligation, just information. For future appreciation and schools, I would recommend something in Cupertino. Although the Burbank area is up and coming and has undergone some revitalization, you would benefit in the long run with a purchase in Cupertino - be it a condo or a house.
