Do i think building is a good move, of course especialy right at this moment becuse a lot of the builders are offering some magnificant deals a lot better than when i negotiated my price last year, wish i had waited a little longer. Hello Kevin, I am very familiar with Renunion myself, however I have a Broker in my office my the name of Cindy Farmer, that is an expert. I can give you her information to refer you to her. If however you are looking to generate equity maybe you should look at other resorts. Short term rentals are doing very well right now. They are at an all time low and are being rented so continuous that you can bearly get in there to show it to sell. I can give you a list of them that might please you according to your needs. If you've not yet reached a decision on where to buy, I'd recommend looking at another community close to Reunion where there are lots available - and you will be able to build something more individual, with a better chance of increasing in price more quickly. I can refer you to an attorney who bought there to give you a reference. They no longer own in the community. Do you have to pay golf fees and other member fees even when you own only land? I also recommend getting opinions on value from a company not directly affiliated or representing tobe sure on any International purchases.

I was in Reunion yesterday showing homes and my opinion is the place is very nice but I would look into all the resales that are available right now.
Some very good bargins to be had.
Building is a very time consuming ardious process and if you are not in the country at the time of building it could be quite frustrating.
I know quite a few short sale and foreclosure homes that might meet your needs.
Some of these homes are magnificent in style and furnishings.
If you are buying the home just for you maybe you should consider Celebration where the homes will be more likely to hold and or increase in value compared to Reunion properties.
I live in Celebrtation and we have many vactaion home buyers.

Reunion, Bella Colina and several other Ginn Communities have been on the news lately because of the depreciating prices of homes and lots. So if you intention is to invest for long term gain I suggest you do a little research. You may searchhttp:// www.OrlandoSentinel.com, or do a general Google search.

My personal believe is that there are a few other medium to upscale local communities that have a much more stable economy and would be less risky investments. So it comes down to what level of risk are you willing to accept.

Hello Kevin,

I’m an expert when it comes to Reunion. I had the site http://resort-listings.com/index.php built to help people like you find the right property in this community.

This is the best Resort around the area because it offers an amazing lifestyle and a lot of in house amenities not offered anywhere else. 3 championship golf courses, water park, restaurants, etc.

In order to know if Reunion is worth the extra money for you; I would have to know a little bit more about what you are looking for in a community.

Building can be right and it can be wrong; so again it all depends on the type of property you’ll be looking for.

If you build the right property you’ll have a ton of equity, but if you go with something that one could get for a lot cheaper in the resale market, then you’ll likely to loose equity.

If you tell me more about type of property you’ll want to build either through here or by contacting me; I would be more than happy to answer your questions with much more details.
