Hi I was wondering how strict is the POA as far as gardening and planting flowers adding back patio's etc? What are the foremost guidelines?

I usually contact the association directly.
Most times, if you submit a plan of what & where you are planting,
it will be approved. Many neighborhoods are now allowing the home owner
to "Go Green" by planting drought tolerant & native plants, even if it's not in the HOA rules.

Gorgeous gardens add value to Real Estate & beautify the neighborhood,
so usually if you present a plan--it's a yes. They tend to get upset if you change
things without asking!

Happy Planting!!

I live in Diamondhead and they arent strict at all. You basically can do anything to your house as long as you dont have a fence in the front.
Hope this helps!

If you are referring to the Home Owners Association, you would have to look at the By Laws for the association. Almost everything you can or can not do is spelled out in them. Every HOA is different as to what they allow or don't allow.
