Most home buyers like yourself like to be able to search for deals from the comfort of your computer. If you are really serious about this type of investment then you need to be prepared to act quickly on whatever $$ level you are buying at because the decent properties wont last long when they come available. You will also need to be prepared in most cases to bid higher than the list price. Your offer will need to be accompanied with a pre-qualification letter from your bank or mortgage company and/or a proof of funds letter or statement if you will be paying with cash. You need a local Real Estate agent who can represent you in an objective way. Once you pick one you have to move very fast. Offers for such deals are often over the asking price.

If the home has already been foreclosed and the bank owns it, then it is up to the bank to list it with a Realtor. If it is listed with an active broker office, then it should be available on the MLS. Ask a Realtor to do a search of the address on their MLS and see if it is listed.
