field for the boys. Any suggestion? How about the public school? Are they any good?
Hello. My name is Susan, and I am a full time realtor with Crossroads Realty of Jackson. I am also a 15 year resident of Jackson and have two children in the Jackson school system. So I am quite familiar with Jackson and all it has to offer. I would be more than happy to help you in your search. I can be reached via cell at 732-614-2217 or via email at svanderclute@crossroadsrealtynj.com.
Hello, my name is John and I am also from Long Island, Mastic Beach. I have lived here in Jackson since 1987. The schools are incredable. If you go to statistics you will find that Jackson produces an off the chart amount of college bound students with very high sat scores. I have 2 sons in medical school as we speak . Are you looking for land only to build this field on or a house with a large flat lot? jgrimes@actionplusrealty.com
O.k. Islander...
I am originally from NY.. Brooklyn. Moved here 8 years ago. I did my research and I moved to East Brunswick, great town and I moved there for the schools. Taxes are higher, but as it goes.. 65% of our taxes go to the school system. But for me, being 35 miles out of NYC and Brooklyn was key to my move.
The office I manage is in Freehold Boro, short distance from Jackson, Marlboro, manalapan, Colts Neck.. to name a few.. I know the area and communities very well.
Something must have motivated you to look in Jackson.
If you want to stay in Monmouth / Ocean County, we will start looking in Marlboro and Colts Neck.. large properties and great schools. It rally depends upon where you want / need to be!
Follow what your instincts tell you to do about the schools, NJ is like Long Island when you talk to people.... EVERYBODY lives in the best school district. So you need to actually look at the school reports and come to a conclusion. The state report card page: http://education.state.nj.us/rc/rc08/menu/29-2360.html
Send me an email or call me to discuss in depth!
Email me and I will send you some properties to take a look at.. I already have a few in mind that may suit your wants and needs!

Hi Islander,
I'm not sure where you're looking, but the most reliable information is on the NJ State Report Card page
http://education.state.nj.us/rc/rc08/menu/29-2360.html
Take it from someone who actually lives here and has children in the school system.
I am also originally from NY and a big part of why I moved to Jackson was for the schools. I have 2 girls in the Jackson School system, 1 in 8th grade, 1 in 3rd grade, and it's been wonderful! The teachers have been great and there are many enrichment programs available.
Please feel free to give me a call directly on my cell at 732-915-4847 to discuss. And if Jackson is not for you, I'd be happy to help you determine the right town for your family.
Regards,
Lisa

Islander,
You could look a little further south into Burlington County, you will get some great values, excellent schools and more reasonable taxes. Many homes available with easy access to major highways (295, Turnpike) & NJ Transit to get back to NY when you want to. I've attached another link of some nice homes in Burlington County that you may find interesting.

There is quite a selection here, all on at least 1 acre. It will give you a good idea of what you will get when you go just a little south of Jackson.
Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Hi,
Thank you all for the response. It is very helpful specially the info about the school. Now I'm not sure anymore if I still want to move to Jackson. It doen't look good when the High School ranking was at 194th in 2006 and dropped to 214th in 2008.
My price range is from 6 to 800,000.
Hi Islander,
I would like to help you in your search by having you contact myself or one of my agents that actually LIVES in Jackson.. Lynne Bruno.
Contact Us to discuss what you need in a property, I do see that you want a football field / soccer field.. o.k.. in reality.. a "real" sized football or soccer field -or- just a lot of space to run around? I am sure that both can be accomodated in Jackson as there amany rasonable properties that can do both. But, that also depends upon your price range...
Find the school information here : http://education.state.nj.us/rc/rc08/menu/29-2360.html
Jackson is a great place to live and I am sure that we can help you find the exact property that you are looking for!

Islander,
Without knowing your particular requirements or price range, I've attached a sample of some available listings in Jackson on at least 1 acre of property.

Here is a link to the Jackson Townhship school district. There is a link at the top-right of the screen JEF & Other Links, on that drop down menu you'll see the school report card.

Hey, how are you?
I would love to give you some information on the area...schools, and so on.
I think that is great that you want to do that for your kids...my parents helped us build a basketball court and set up a soccer goal in our yard when we were younger...and I would love to help you find a place to do that for your kids.
I hope we can talk soon so I can help you do this for you and your family.
In good health,
