I was planning to buy there, but now the talk of Airport expansion is making me think twice. Does anyone know for sure what the impact would be on Real Estate prices in that area, when the expansion is complete.

Freeways, airports and other types of public services are always potentials for expansion. The big question is how do the current (and potential future) flight paths interact with the development. If you are under the flight path and they double traffic it is a far different issue than if you are parallel to the flight path and some distance away. It would be impossible to quantify exact impact in dollars or demand but an answer to the above will give you a good idea.

A airport close by has almost always affected the value/enjoyment of homes.

An analysis should be made by your trusted real estate professional of many factors short and long term before even considering making an offer.

My suggestion is to ask this question of the buyer's agent that is representing you. If you are unrepresented you can contact me. I have lived and worked in Eden Prairie for 18 years.
