There are very few homes that offer owner financing. Most of them that do will require anywhere from 15 to 30% down and they will charge you a higher interest rate than you would get through a lender. You will also have to show some sort of payment history whether it is a rental, credit cards, utility bills, etc. I can run a search in the MLS for you with the criteria of seller financing in the Venice and North Port area if you could send me your search criteria. The owner financing is not always indicated in the property description. It is in a section that is only visible to Realtors. I would be happy to help you.

Hi Tina:

I have a page on my site devoted to owner financed properties:

Remember that because the seller is offering owner financing does not make it a for sale by owner property. The seller has hired an agent to market their property in the MLS, so you should have an agent representing you as a buyer as well.

If I can help you find the right home I'd be happy to assist.
