Help! Looking for land contract in Western Schools. (Spring Arbor, MI) Our apartment may be forclosed on

and we don't know if we will be able to stay. My husband and I have bad credit, but if we have to move, we may not have the time to fix it properly. Our biggest credit issue, I'm told, is our student loans are not in good standing. Problem is, high rent has put us in a hole we can't seem to get out of. We can't pay more on our bills because our housing is so high ($700/mo) and we can't lower our housing costs because we can't buy. It's a vicious circle. We'd like a land contract or lease option for a 2 or 3 bedroom home near Spring Arbor. We don't need much, just something decent in the under 100k range. (Most of the houses I've looked at for sale are well under that) Something that needs love would be ok as long as it's not too major and it's livable. We will be able to take 10% of our retirement in a little over a year which would be 10k or more. Worth it if it gets us into home ownership. We may have bad credit, but we are not a risk when it comes to housing. .
