I loved Dublin Schools! I attended from 5th grade through high school and I am looking forward to having my little ones attend there as well!
They were great for anyone with special needs or honors programs.
I took college courses in high school there at no extra cost!
I would recommend Dublin to anyone!

I am a parent, not an agent. I have moved with school age kids across country more than once. All of the advice below is solid. Your answer will depend on your needs and the ages of your children. As mentioned below, Dublin consistently ranks higher than Hilliard and rarely has trouble passing school levies (only once in 12 years of living here). Generally speaking, you will get more house for your money in Hilliard; this is a school district on the move in a positive direction. I couldn't say anything negative about either district. My sons are Dublin graduates.

Dear Linda,

Hope all is well. Both school districts are great. However, you tend to get a lot more for your money for homes in the Hilliard School district if you are in the market for purchasing a home.

As everyone has already mentioned, to get more details (ratings, test scores, demographics, etc.)on each district - http://www.greatschools.org is a great site. You can also try http://www.neighborhoodscout.com.

If you need any other assistance, please feel to call us at 614.726.1820 - we'd love to help you.

Many thanks

Linda,

You've already received the websites that are helpful. I can tell you overall Dublin schools consistently rank higher in most areas than Hilliard schools. If you are going to buy in Ballantrae note that Ballantrae homes have a Dublin address but are in Hilliard schools.

FYI, I am not biased, I did not go to Hilliard or Dublin schools and my kids go to neither. That being said, definitely consider how school ratings affect property values.

One last thing: Hilliard sometimes struggles when it comes to passing levies. Dublin typically does not. They are different communities with different socio-economic factors and ages of homes. Homes in Ballantrae would be at the upper end of prices for Hilliard schools. Not so for a home priced similarly in Dublin.

There are several highly-rated school systems in the area. If you would like some unbiased insight on this please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Hope this helps. If you are looking for an agent who can help please check out my website: http://www.Advocate4Buyers.com

Linda

I have a nephew who attended Hilliard school. My nephew has asperger's and Hilliard offered a fantastic program to meet his needs. In addition, I have fellow colleagues who also rave about Hilliard schools and their care and attention to students individual needs.

I have known many clients and/or friends who have attended Dublin and they too rave about their education and/or experience with the school. Either school is highly rated and spoken of with great respect, so whichever you choose I think you will be happy with your choice!

I often send my clients to the link below. This site provides much more detail regarding the schools achievement, progress, etc.

Hope this helps and wishing you the very best! If you need any assistance in finding your new home please don't hesitate to contact me, I would be happy to help you. You will love it here!

Good Morning Linda,
thank you for your question. Tom is from Hilliard. Tom's sisters live in Dublin and go to Hilliard schools. Both sisters have been very pleased with the schools system . Dublin is also good school. Tom and I direct all of our buyers to Great schools.com. There you can see how each school is rated. Tom and I live in Worthington and our children attend Worthington Schools. We are pleased also with school system. Hope this helps . You may also call to discuss any other questions that you may have at 614 746-0671.

Great Schools.org is a popular source and you can always verify the test scores directly at the state level. The page is http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Testing/Ohio-Achievement-As…
Good luck in your move!
