Vpbc2008, Home Buyer in San Jose, CA

Has anyone looked at Merimont Homes in San Bruno, CA? The prices seems higher than other homes less than 10 years old in the same area. Any thoughts?

The Goodwin homes are built on "stilts"! They don't have flat backyards either. You need to drive by them to see what I mean. When you drive along Skyline Bl. you can see them hanging off the cliffs! Sorry...that's just what it looks like to me! When you drive by and compare the Merimont homes to the Goodwin homes, you will know what I am talking about!

Hi Karin,

Thanks for the reply.

The most recent data point I have for San Bruno is the following house which was just sold for $795,000.
This house seems bigger (2800 SQ. FT) compared to any of the houses listed at Merimont.

360 GOODWIN Dr, San Bruno, CA:

There has been a few other houses that were also sold on Goodwin Dr.

For example,370 GOODWIN Dr (2600 SQ.FT) was sold for $730,000:

Thank you.

Looks like the Merimont homes are for sale for around $850,000+. I don't know any newer home communities in the same area for less, do you?

Merimont is an awesome community, by the way! I know some people who live there and like it a lot. I like it, too, although it gets windy up there once in awhile. They have some great views and there are some great schools nearby!

Hi VPBC2008.

I'm not sure if they are highter. The homes that were built in the Skyline Plaza off of San Bruno Ave were just as expensive and I don't think they were built as well.

Other than that, my husband and I have a listing that is coming on the market on Thursday at 107 Alden Ct. It's one of the homes at Merimont. Go to http://www.107AldenCt.com and take a virtual tour. It will be listed for $828,888. As far as location, it's probably one of the best because there is no neighbor behind it, or on one side of it and no house in front of it. Lots of privacy. It has a landscaped yard and highend curtains that the others do not have. It's 2100 Sq Ft.

It will be open this Sunday. If you would like to see it sooner, please let me know.
