I like the Almaden Walk homes. I think the south end of Willow Glen is coming along well. I have seen the models and the pros to the homes are size, newness, contemporary styling and the Willow Glen address. In my opinion the down sides are; tri-level, views off the back side of the house is the next units garage, parking, and Guadalupe Creek.

The City of San Jose had plans to create a "river walk" trail along the Guadalupe but with the change in the economy, who knows when that will actually happen. Beautifying that side of the street would help the Almaden Walk area.

If California re-instates the $10K tax credit for the new developments, I believe the deal making could happen. Best to ask a lot of questions of the builder and what help they can offer with closing costs. I think the 5-10 year plan is a good one.

Unfortunately, I have had no personal experience with Olsen Homes to be able to comment on the quality of their development or their sales services.

Are you a first time buyer?
Do you have an agent - or know a good one? they can represent you and negotiate a great deal with the builder.
Otherwise, why would anyone put their professional reputation on the line to speculate on the future? For someone that's not even their client? All risk and no reward.
