of the U.S.? Should I buy now while it seems to be a buyers market?
I'm not in North Pole, but I do live in Alaska and have lived in Fairbanks. If you haven't lived in Alaska before it would be my advice to rent for 6 months to a year to decide where you want to live. You can find everything from city living, albeit at -60 degrees, to almost remote living where the wolves will eat your dog for lunch quite literally.
Have you lived in the area before?
Hello Chris:
You should ask http://www.trulia.com/voices/profile/Just_Looking-Wasilla-24938/
He is the only Realtor I know of who is from Alaska. I am sure you can go to his profile and click on the "Contact' link. .

Chris.....
I must say I am curious as to why you addressed this question to me. The North Pole/Fairbanks is definitely out of my service area. I would suggest you connect with a local Realtor to provide you with the necessary information on the area. I see you are from Seattle...how soon are you planning to relocate?
