Home Buying in San Antonio>Question Details

Nicole, Home Buyer in San Antonio, TX

First time home buyer looking to use my VA loan.

Asked by Nicole, San Antonio, TX Thu Jan 24, 2013

I am considering moving to San Antonio by November of this year. Not sure where to begin with the process.

Help the community by answering this question:

The process is very easy..

It's a bit soon to get your loan pre-approved just yet... you will want to do that about 30 to 60 days before you are ready to start looking seriously..

When you do.. the BEST VA / Texas Vet Lender in all of Texas is Kasey Hampton with DHI Mortgage. In 15 years, I've never seen a bank, credit union, or mortgage company match her interest rates.. She is flat amazing. When ready... go here: http://www.DHIMortgage.com/Kasey-Hampton - the online pre-approval process is quick, easy, and free. You can thank me later.

In the mean time.. I can start sending you homes that fit what you are looking for so you can keep tabs of what is out there between now and then... Send me a text, e-mail, or give me a call.

Easy as pie!

You might consider visiting with Patrick Fitzgerald, Prime Lending. He is a VA mortgage loan officer of 20 plus years. He can be reached at Pat@PrimeLending.com or toll free 800-671-4955. Just tell him that I recommended he visit with you. If you have any real estate questions I would be glad to visit with you about that end. Good luck.

When you decide to move to San Antonio you will be pleased with the housin opportunities in our great city.
Your VA process is not a complicated program and I can certainly help you in working with a loan officer. The ideal time to start your loan process is around August - September. After you have gotten your pre-approval from your lender with a loan amount the home shopping process begins. When you have found the home you want and you put it under contract, your new home will close in 30-45 days.
JB Goodwin Realtors is associated with Military on the Move (MOM) through Leading Real Estate of the World. This program offers a rebate on your home purchas. Even though your VA will offer you "no down payment" financing - a little extra money always comes in handy for your out of pocket expenses in your new home.

Please call me for further details on this program.

San Antonio is a great choice. With a large military presence I deal a lot with VA buyers. The first step is to find a realtor and a reputable lender. The lender will allow you to get prequalified. Give me a call at 210-722-6243 or you can reply to my email at varnall@ymail.com.
I will be happy to help with your search.

Start right here Nicole.

Second, I need to connect you to a lender that works VA loans. They can be sure you are all set with your certification and pre-qualify you so we know exactly what price range is best for you and your family's needs.

Finally, I will help you find the area that best suits your lifestyle. I have worked with several Veterans and I have a client presently who is a retired Navy Vet.

It would be an honor to be of service to you.
