Its possible in Dallas county there are a lot of first time homebuyer programs that you can start to apply for.

Most of them still require you to get approved for a home loan but they will sign you up for classes that help you obtain the credit score that their lenders want. Granted you will have to follow the steps and get the items on your credit fixed. So it will take some work on your part, but yes its possible.

The city of Garland has a 10,000.00 down payment assistance program. Dallas County has a 7,500.00 program. Veterans, Police Offers, and Teachers have programs available.

Main thing is to get a copy of your credit report. If you would like to set up an appointment to meet.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Depends on just how poor the credit is; however there are other factors besides credit that determine mortgage qualification, therefore for a personalized answer visit with any licensed loan officer. Most lender prefer a 640 score, however there may be some willing to work with less--keep in mind that the better the score the better the rate.
