Duplicate answer, also posted in your other question...
You are fortunate to have received responses from many fine agents here, several of whom I know personally.
Of course, I would toss my hat in the ring if you want to consider one more.
I live in Cary, and can see Apex out my back door.
Long distance home buying can be stressful, and a little effort on my part can reduce that greatly.
I already have thousands of photos of Apex and Cary neighborhoods, parks and amenities on line on my Flickr account for people to view:
Folks tell me that they are very helpful to them, helping them to see the types of housing, how close together, landscaping, etc.
I offer neighborhood and parks profiles in my Neighborhoods blog:
Each profile has photos and the neighborhood profiles have a link to homes currently available on the MLS.
Any local REALTOR can set up a home search for you on the MLS, with auto-email notification. I would be glad to do so, with search parameters you desire.
You can also search independently for homes, with no strings attached, on my No Hassle Property Search:
No agent in the Triangle offers a more in depth search function than I do, and you never have to register or give up contact information to search, unless you decide to contact me.
NC State law says an agent has to have a written Agency agreement to represent the consumer in a transaction.
Carla did a good thing, to post the Working With Real Estate Agents link, as it clarifies that point:
Here it is again, along with a SAMPLE Buyer Agency Agreement for your review:
If you elect to go with new construction, you need to know that the builder's agent on site is NOT there to represent your interests, but is representing the builder's interests. Having an advocate, a buyers agent is a wise choice, particularly if the home is under construction while you are still not living here.
One service I provide to my clients who build new homes is to visit frequently and to upload photos to that Flickr account so they can view and enjoy the progress. It also gets me onto the home site where I can visit directly with the builder or superintendent about any ongoing concerns.
Good luck with your home search and your move!

I work in Cary and very familiar with both Cary and Apex! I am a Certified Relocation Specialist for Coldwell Banker Advantage and have worked with many first time buyers over the years.
I would be happy to set You up with your own website that sends homes fitting your wants and needs. The website allows you to view the homes information and pictures, see the homes from birdseye view, make notes on each of the homes, forward to anyone, put in favorite folders or delete all together.
And then, when you are ready to start looking locally- I can show you the surrounding area, as well as your choice homes!
Give me a call at 919-244-7343 or email me at email@example.com.
I would love the opportunity to work with You!
I'd be happy to send listings, take pictures or whatever will help you prepare for your visit and move. I've actually worked with several people from out of state that built homes. Every two weeks or so I'd make job site visits to photograph the progress. They loved this as it made them feel part of the process. I also have to say a few of these were in the Clayton and Garner area, quite a hike from Cary.
Feel free to contact me if you wish. I'd be happy to help! You may also check out my company website and see what Go Realty is all about. We're not a typical real estate company....we rather think outside the box. http://Www.GoRealty.Biz
