Lowell posted a great response. In a nutshell here in Florida you don't need a lawyer to buy a home. It is recommended that you use a real estate agent and at least a title company which can do the title search and recording. Should you not use a real estate agent then it might be recommended to have a real estate attorney review the documentation and handle the closing.

All the best

I would advise to have one,and even better yet if the lawyer's fee is paid for you in addition to closing costs, etc.
