YES it does or single family homes. Keep in mind you need close soon based on dead lines.

Good morning Emily,

Yes, the $8,000 tax credit does go toward a condo purchase as well. If the condo sale price is less than $80,000, then you would receive 10% of the sale price as a tax credit. Condos would be fine. However, there are buyer requirements and restrictions. Dunes posted a good link to the FAQ from the IRS. Another link is the actual form to claim the credit. It is easy to understand and outlines all the criteria.

I believe the response is Yes as the requirement is that it be your Full-Time Residence
